A junior asthma support group, run by the pupils, has started at one of the schools in Sandwell. Their interest includes the problems of asthma care at school.

They plan to launch their own web site soon. Look here for details in the New Year.

SANDWELL M.B.C. has some home improvement grant funds available for households in the borough with asthmatic children. The specific purpose is to provide central heating.

CONDITIONS

The conditions include the following :

The household must have at least one child (of a specified age range) receiving routine medication for asthma;

The family must be owner-occupiers;

The family must be in receipt of State Benefits, typically those which qualify for free prescriptions.
